James F. King began his education as an artist at Oakland’s College of Arts and Crafts, then graduated from Art Center College in southern California.

For many years he had a graphic arts studio in San Francisco, designing packaging, brochures and annual reports, largely for medical companies in the U.S. and Europe.

He turned his talents to painting about ten years ago, showing his work in California at The New Masters Gallery in Carmel and The Generations Gallery in Yountville.  He recently moved to Portland, Oregon where he continues to study and paint.

His paintings have been purchased by collectors from all over the United States and Europe.
